AiM Taipan ECU Products

Use this collection as the starting point for choosing the correct AiM Taipan ECU setup. The right part depends on bike brand, model year, engine platform, and whether you also need UC Bridge, HBS2 controls, cables, data logging, or custom tuning support.

Choose The Correct Taipan ECU

  • AiM Taipan ECU: 4-stroke Taipan platform for supported Ducati, GASGAS, Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, and KTM motocross, enduro, and supermoto bikes. Current fitment includes Ducati Desmo450 MX 2025-2026 and Honda CRF250R/CRF450R through 2026.
  • AiM Taipan K ECU: KTM Group 2-stroke platform for KTM SX 125/250, Husqvarna TC 125/250, and GASGAS MC 125/250, model years 2024-2025.
  • AiM Taipan Y ECU: Yamaha YZ250F 2019-2023 and YZ450F 2019-2022.
  • AiM Taipan Y v2 ECU: Yamaha YZ250F 2024-2025 and YZ450F 2023-2025.

UC Bridge, Spark Software, And Tuning

Taipan ECUs are sold blank, with AiM base maps available for stock bikes. The AiM UC Bridge is the support tool for Spark software map transfer, setup changes, and diagnostics. If your bike has engine work, exhaust changes, different fuel, or you want a specific feel, add Custom ECU Tuning to the setup path.

HBS2 And Cable Notes

The AiM HBS2 Handlebar Switch adds supported rider controls such as map selection, fuel correction, launch control, traction control, and quick shift management on equipped bikes.

  • Taipan K: HBS2 or compatible data logger connection requires the AiM HBS2 / DataLog Taipan K Cable, AiM cable code V02596160.
  • Taipan Y v2: HBS2 connection requires AiM cable code V02596140. Contact Bootleg Performance if you need that cable and do not see it listed.
